Billy Graham the Evangelist has gone to be with the Lord at the great age of 99. I have listened to his sermons over the years but mostly when I was a child before and after I was converted.
I can’t remember the radio station, it might have been Trans World Radio, but late at night the program, Hour of Decision, came on. I used to turn the tuner to hear beeps before a devotion was broadcast.
It was such a bad radio reception, but I managed to hear some of God’s Word taught. It was Sunday nights that Billy Graham preached. It really quenched my thirst to hear God’s Word preached and to be close to Jesus in my walk with him.
My wife went to one of his crusades as a child but wasn’t converted then, but always knew a seed was planted from the Word of God that was preached, where the Holy Spirit convicted her to come and know Jesus as her Lord and Saviour.
I can’t wait to meet Billy at his new address, I feel envious that he is in the presence of the Lord.
I am praying about working on a group study guide from his book “How to BE Born Again” ISBN 034067122X and study book ISBN 9780849931604 to use with individuals or groups.
